Overview:
Access Design Validation engineer will develop concepts, evaluate solutions, and validate performance, compliance, and capabilities of vendor equipment. Relevant technologies include, but are not limited to, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking (L2/L3), PON (Passive Optical Networks), Network Security, and Optical Transport (Dark Fiber, DWDM).Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.Additional Requirements:
Designing and implementing complex, multi-vendor TCP/IP networks, diagnosing, documenting, and resolving issues.Familiarity with issues impacting throughput and QoS. Familiarity with Ethernet over fiber and copper media. Familiarity with DWDM.Familiarity with diagnosis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, iperf, etc.Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, and common vulnerabilities.Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, shell script, Javascript, Powershell, etc.Familiarity with one or more virtualization/cloud technologies and platforms such as VMware, KVM, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $122,000 – $183,000 USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
