Job Description:

JOB TITLE:  Senior-System Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75075

DUTIES:   Oversee the delivery process of software applications and service, design, development, testing, deployment, production application support, troubleshooting, and maintenance with a focus on automation. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Use various programming languages to execute specific development methodology. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting. Complete unit test, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Review deliverables prepared and that have been submitted by cross-vendor teams. Develop, implement, and manage QA processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery. Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products. Define and communicate quality standards and parameters to software engineers and the testing team. Work with product owners, developers, internal and external stakeholders, and business owners in all phases of the development cycle offering QA assistance and QA process optimization. Support Testing and oversee UI and backend web-services Functional, Integration, End to End Testing, and Support UAT. Enable production support and automation of features that are suitable for test automation. Govern and direct testing best practices, test methodologies, and test delivery for agent-assist and self-assist systems. Identify, understand, document, and create functionality that aligns with product and capability definitions laid out by product managers. Plan, conduct, and monitor the test, and inspect the products to ensure their quality. Develop integration testing strategies to test the data flow between front-end UI and different ERP Systems. Ensure features and stories are met with acceptance criteria by developing an effective test strategy. Enhance QA methodology for test and defect management and tools supporting processes. Develop and monitor corrective measures. Manage external vendor relationships and consulting services provided to the QA team. Provide training to individuals handling product. Develop strategies to improve the production process. Lead defect triage meetings, escalate, and see defects to closure within timelines. Maintain JIRA for defect management activities. Escalate unresolved issues to respective teams and bring them to closure. Utilize testing tools, Katalon, postman, SoapUI, and selenium. Work with software programming languages, SQL/SOQL, Java, JavaScript, XML, and Oracle.

REQUIREMENTS:  Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in a related occupation utilizing testing tools: Katalon, postman, SoapUI, and selenium; and working with software programming languages: SQL/SOQL, Java, JavaScript, XML, and Oracle.
