Job Description:

JOB TITLE:    Senior Specialist - Performance Test Architect

JOB LOCATION:  208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

Senior Specialist - Performance Test Architect needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service including designing, developing, testing, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining with a focus on automation. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, and create software design specifications. Collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients,  to validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting. Perform unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Support the software deployment process. Design robust performance test strategies that will validate impact of changes to performance of individual applications and the consumer technology ecosystem. Collaborate with development, project managers, and solution architects to design application tests to validate performance and resiliency of the consumer technology ecosystem. Provide performance to build  the design solution. Identify issues and defects before the development phase.  Work  with Vendor and partner teams for execution of load tests based on software delivery and release schedule. Review performance test results and ensure the infrastructure and application evaluation are delivered to production.  Provide key SME leadership within consumer quality engineering (CQE) team on transformative efforts and implement performance testing.  Design and implement automated performance testing in the CI/CD pipeline. Define and implement post-mortem and root-cause analysis processes. Design and execute performance tests to support Agile software delivery.  Utilize microservice architecture and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Utilize infrastructure components, including routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks. Utilize application architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles. Utilize Agile Lifecycle and delivery management tools including Jira, Plainview, Kubernetes Container, CI/CD, Jenkins, Chaos Testing, and performance testing.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing and executing performance tests to support Agile software delivery; utilizing microservice architecture and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes; utilizing infrastructure components, including routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks; utilizing application architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles; and utilizing Agile Lifecycle and delivery management tools including Jira, Plainview, Kubernetes Container, CI/CD, Jenkins, Chaos Testing, and performance testing.
