JOB TITLE: Senior Member of Technical Staff
JOB LOCATION: 9505 Arboretum Blvd, Austin, TX 78759
DUTIES: Apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to design and develop work in an environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company. Conduct design and development work in the areas of new network function applications, systems/platform architecture, software development engineering, technical security and QA Design/Certification. Use Agile SCRUM methodology to design, develop, test and maintain 5G deployment through ADO, Automated deployment applications, and configuration applications. Develop ansible playbooks for technical security, automated scripts run on the servers. Participate in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint retrospective meetings. Oversee the development team in setting up appropriate deadlines consistent with the roadmap, develop associated scripts, and NF deployments ensure compliance with the CI/CD integration using Jenkins application. Complete continuous integration and continuous deployment cycle in the labs and production environment that is focused on complex design, engineering, and development for different NF servers. Use Power BI and Elastic Logstash Kibana to conduct quantitative, algorithmic and theory based analysis for addressing business issues in servers and data visualization, network design and optimization, for the labs and production servers. Review Software requirements, prepare test scenarios for software usability, and document results. Coordinate with sprint lead to understand the business requirements. Participate in new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity. Responsible for maintaining the CI/CD applications, database servers, servers and application migration, new software’s stability, standards, systems design, technical assessment or gathering requirements for new NF’s, system development, and testing of infrastructure and services that use network and systems technologies, CI/CD applications development, software design and development, and/or systems integration testing, and deploying NF’s networks. Provide ansible playbooks for technical security issues to run the servers in labs and production. Provide subject matter expertise during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering, and development.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science and Information Systems, or Electronic Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Openstack and Azure cloud platforms; implementing Linux/windows servers CLI and Jenkins application for testing; creating/configuring VMs (Windows/Linux); utilizing automation and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Openstack, and Azure, using agile methodologies; migrating virtual machines across hosts and data stores; working with Cloud architecture, Openstsack Nova, SDN, Havana, Ansible, Python scripts, LSI, CMIC, Cloud cruiser, PPM, GIT, Jenkins, and Ansible; creating, designing, and developing cron jobs for continuous UI based applications; utilizing UI templates; and deploying Web Application and reviewing software requirements, preparing test scenarios for software usability, and documenting results.
