Job Description:

JOB TITLE:  Senior Agile Coach

JOB LOCATION:  208 S. Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES:   Use and implement Agile methodology and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe). Promote consistent behaviors and provide guidance to drive maturity. Guide and help teams on both the product and delivery side. Work with team members at the solution level, program level, and team level. Develop multiple Agile teams within an organization or a release train. Assist in the execution of an Agile Release Train (ART). Participate in and support transformation efforts. Drive SAFe principles, values, behaviors, and methodologies throughout the organization. Assist teams with planning and execution ceremonies. Use Agile tracking tools to perform epic creation and user story development. Create and maintain backlog including grooming. Partner with Scrum masters, release train engineers (RTEs), and solution train engineers (STEs) to ensure cross-team coordination. Reach out to larger company networks for impediment removal. Provide guidance on standard metrics that give teams insight into how they are doing and assistance in reporting these metrics to management. Encourage the adoption of a truly Agile mindset including ownership, self-management, empowerment and servant leadership. Perform Agility assessment and provide feedback on future areas of focus for team improvement. Coach SAFe team members and Scrum masters. Conduct training related to SAFe and Agile practices. Partner with product delivery leadership and assist in leading the maturity and value outcomes of the teams within their area. Ensure alignment and support for lean Agile coaches. Coordinate and partner with lean Agile coaches and leadership to execute coaching plans and improve performance and Agile maturity. Oversee maturity assessments to roll up data and share at the leadership level. Review metrics with leadership teams to discuss progress, agility, and areas of improvement. Work with the lean Agile coaches to look at team retrospectives to see if there are common areas that could be addressed at a high level for improvement. Ensure quality and completeness of value decomposition and coaching on best practices supporting Epic and feature readiness techniques. Foster CI/CD pipeline maturity and advocate DevOps practices. Train and coach on TDD, BDD, XP, and CI/CD pipeline focusing on shortening lead time of deployments and releases. Complete digital transformations including Waterfall to Agile. Use Jira, Jira Align, Power BI, Tableau, and Miro.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Management Information Systems and 2 Years of experience in the job offered or 2 Years of experience in a related occupation using and implementing Agile methodology and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe); assisting in the execution of an Agile Release Train (ART); using Agile tracking tools to perform epic creation and user story development; performing Agility assessment and providing feedback on future areas of focus for team improvement; conducting training related to SAFe and Agile practices; fostering CI/CD pipeline maturity and DevOps practices; training and coaching on TDD, BDD, XP, and CI/CD pipeline focusing on shortening lead time of deployments and releases; completing digital transformations including Waterfall to Agile; and using Jira, Jira Align, Power BI, Tableau, and Miro.
