AT&T has an opening for a Performance Management Lead to provide Tier 3 router support. Export data for offline data analysis - lsp, queue,etc. Perform monitoring and audit of syslogs for core dumps and anomalies. Review NNM on various enclaves to check on health of network. Perform data analysis of CPU and memory performance data to identify issues.

Define rules and criteria for NMS to alert on syslog events. Perform data analysis of MPLS Label Switched Path (LSP) performance data to include review of utilization and auditing of LSP buildout in compliance with customer design. Perform data analysis of interface Tail / Red drop to identify potential network bottlenecks and candidates for growth. Review performance of Production Shadow routers and configurations. Identify issues within customer's network and proposed solutions and mitigation strategies.
Define criteria for VPN Outage Availability report - to include device, interfaces, protocols, and LSPs.

Provide support to the engineering team on the Juniper T/M and series routers to include technical exchange meetings and engineering reviews. Define, Edit and maintain core dump testing scenarios to identify issues. Conduct stress testing of routers to induce core dumps to simulate issues in customer network. Replicate issues identified in Production to determine workarounds/mitigation.
Maintains the routers for the ITF and the NMS development team lab.

Test and evaluate the code on the Junipers and Cisco routers. Configure the security profile of routers - hardening, logging, Tacacs, auditing, IAVAs, and limiting commands that can be issued. Configure the commit and event scripts used on the routers. Review device mibs and management architecture when new equipment and software is selected to ensure monitoring of services is addressed. Configure and Evaluate autobandwidth on Juniper routers.

Configure and Evaluate Northstar. Configure the routers to communicate with Northstar. Ensure the routers and NMS are deployed and operate as a system.Resolve issues with routers communicating with NMS systems. - snmp, authentication. Assist NMS team with troubleshooting NMS applications/architecture. Compare methodology and collection of customer network management system (NMS) and work to align with ATT NMS methodology. Review design of network to ensure customer network closely aligns with AT&T best practices. Review and filter which events from traps and syslogs are forwarded to Operations.

Wandl IP/MPLS modeling and network toolOperations Bridge ReporterNetwork Node ManagerVarious NMS customer toolsIdentify issues to vendor and do recursive testing of proposed fixes.Perform evaluation and testing of the Operations Bridge.Reporter network performance tool.Work with NMS team to define performance reports to heighten situational awareness.Collaborate with NMS team to define a real time VPN status dashboard.Collaborate with NMS and define reports within OBR.Define requirements for creation of events for NMS to proactively alert Operations of issues; Example: events for LSP utilization, Example: events for queue tail/red drops.Build out and maintain ITF lab in virtual environment using Juniper vMx.Build out test bed in virtual environment using Juniper vMx.Configure and Connect devices to Riverbed apps - NetIM, Flow Gateway, Net Planner, and Net Profiler.Configure and Connect devices to Wandl and Northstar apps in ITF.Assist with configuration and connection of Access network devices to NMS applications.Configure devices to send flow data to Riverbed apps.Configure Cisco virtual router with IP SLA tests and verify collection/ monitoring in NMS - NNMi, OBR.Configure various Cisco IP SLA and Juniper RPM on routers to do probe measurements.Configure Ethernet OAM connectivity fault management (including performance-monitoring) and link fault management on Juniper for Layer 2 measurements.Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Eight (8) years of experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience. Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Required Clearance: Candidate must have a TSSCI with polygraph (#polygraph)
