The Lead Tax Manager is responsible for the analysis and interpretation of existing and upcoming tax legislation (federal, state, local and foreign) to identify opportunities to minimize the organization’s legal tax liabilities and to account for those tax liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Preparation of tax-related journal entries (e.g., ASC 740 tax provisions), financial statement disclosures (e.g., Tax Footnote for Annual Report), and account reconciliations in accordance with company policy and SOX controls. Conducts research to advise management of the accounting implications of activities. Responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Works on extremely complex taxation related problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.
Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field required. CPA license preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years experience. Experience can be public accounting, large corporate tax department, or a combination of the two.
The work environment includes both an open corporate office (3 Days Minimum) at the advertised AT&T location and remote home office environment (2 Days Maximum) on a weekly basis.
