The Lead Member of Technical Staff discipline is part of a technical career program designed for employees who are working on new and emerging technologies AND who have made a significant commitment to their education by earning at least a 4-year degree in specified STEM areas.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conducts design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security and QA Design/Certification.

• Work must primarily involve new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity.

• May serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.

  Qualifications

  • Requires a 4 year degree in a specified STEM  area. Refer to Technical Career Pathway (TCP) website https://workspace.web.att.com/sites/IT_TCP under TCP Disciplines Guide/Technical Development & Design for approved universities and degree disciplines. Exceptions require Board Review.

  • PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

• Experience with Palantir platform required.  

• Minimum 4 years of  experience in data science and engineering required.

• Software/Data engineering and data science using cloud technologies such as Databricks, Azure, Snowflake

Experience with AI/ML uses cases in communications networks.

Familiarity with Gen AI technologies desired.

Passion for using data to solve business problems.

Commitment to keeping up with evolving technologies.

Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. Relocation assistance is not provided.

This is not a supervisory position.

Our Lead Member of Technical Staff earns between $157,300 - $257,400. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
