Job Description:

Overall Purpose: This career step requires senior level experience. This position analyzes data from multiple sources including datalakes, internal/external data, data warehouses, etc. Uses predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and identify the appropriate data to be analyzed to explain or predict behavior, solve a variety of business problems, and build business cases.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for business case development, big data analytics modeling using tools (Ex: including but not limited to: Tableau, Palantir, Power BI, Databricks, AWS Azure, Synapse, H2O Driverless AI, etc.), and business process integration.

Gathers, analyzes, and interprets a wide variety of data to identify causal relationships, trigger points and ultimately make predictions.

Builds predictive models using data, tests the model on results outside of the sample size, and verifies the model in the real world.

Quantifies significance of data variances, applies an array of statistical methods ranging from traditional to newly-developing within the Big Data space.

Uses traditional modeling techniques to build models that support decision making.

Develops reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings.

Advises business partners with regard to patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes.

Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Education: Preferred Master's degree from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics.

Experience: Typically requires 5-8 years' experience. Supervisory: No.

Tasks that would be required as a part of the job.

Demonstrates the ability to apply financial benefit to KPI improvements without guidance. Can apply OpEx savings for up to 5 years with minimal outside input.

Develops visualization to support analytic findings in multiple formats. Demonstrates the ability to develop automated recurring analysis.

Demonstrates the ability to extract, load, and transform data from multiple sources.

Executes complex data joins across multiple sources to provide insights into business problems and measure results. 

Provides expert forecasting for at least 12 months with the ability to develop sensitivity models supporting prioritization or other development practices.

Demonstrates the ability to present complex analysis with business impact at multiple levels of management up to and including the Executive level.
