The Associate Director Purchasing, will be responsible for helping to design and implement strategic direction for ATT accessories, including but not limited to, inventory and assortment optimization, channel optimization, and financial optimization. The position will manage a team responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies, and commodity products for the organization. Mobility Accessories Planning includes cases, screen protectors, power and audio within its scope, managing OEM Planning and Purchasing relationships and supporting Mobility in-store and online sales. This role supports the team of planners and provides financial reporting, forecasting and SLA management to support the business. Acts as Supply Chain liaison within internal and external partnerships to ensure AT&T targets are met and OEMs’/partners maintain alignment with goals and priorities. Identifies and executes strategic initiatives within the scope for the ongoing optimization of planning tools and activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements the strategic plan for the accessory space.
- Supervises preparation of orders and follows up to expedite delivery of products and services as well as timely, accurate payment of supplier invoices.
- Participates in the selection of suppliers under contract.
- Negotiates with vendors in response to material delivery requirements and cost issues on large and complex orders against an approved list of suppliers.
- Monitors contractual agreements in order to determine supplier performance, billing accuracy, as well as maintain continued supply of products and services.
- Provides direction to direct reports.
- Frequently interacts with subordinate employees, outside customers and functional peer groups at various management levels.
- Provides input for future vendor selection and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
- Influences decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.
- Responsible for the following areas for direct reports - career planning, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Education: Preferred Bachelors degree.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience related to Purchasing.

Salary Range: $130,700.00 - $196,100.00
